Lexus LF-A Confirmed for Tokyo Motor Show Show

While many automakers are putting a particular emphasis on alternative fuel vehicles at this year's Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota is taking a bit different tack.
Been there done that; Hybrid Synergy Drive and the Prius have been around for years. For Toyota, it is time to bring some excitement to the company by focusing on performance.
Doing that includes the introduction of the Toyota FT-86 Concept at the show and something from Lexus. It just has been confirmed by Lexus that it's long-awaited supercar - the LF-A, will be making an appearance at the show. The LF-A has been rumored to be coming for years, with the first concept shown by Lexus in 2005.
The V-10 powered LF-A will be the most expensive and powerful Lexus ever, with a starting price over $200,000. Lexus intends the LF-A to compete with the Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Gallardo.
We'll see how that works out for them, but regardless this is a much-anticipated introduction. All I can say is - if Lexus wants good press out of the show, the car debuted better not be another LF-A concept. After three of them that launched in 2005, 2007 and 2008, it is high time we saw the production vehicle.
