Huge Crash Throws Russian Out Of His Car Like A Boss
A motorcyclist friend of mine once told me he'd rather be on his motorbike in an accident than a car. His argument was that it's better to be thrown clear of the crash than to be stuck inside it. Quite rightly, I laughed in his face and wished him luck on his journey.
In Russia, however, motorists actively laugh in the face of danger as proven by their blatant distaste for seatbelts and crumple zones. For those reasons, real Russian men find themselves outside the vehicle before the crash is over, and live to tell the tale.
What we see below is another example of this interesting phenomenon. The camera car approaches a junction, slowing for the cars crossing its path. Then out of nowhere a white car ploughs into one of the cars at the junction, flinging the door wide open and throwing the driver onto the tarmac.
Despite his brush with the black top, the dazed and confused driver jumps to his feet and runs to the side of the road, just as the camera car mysteriously accelerates towards him. Despite evidence to the contrary, we still endorse the use of seatbelts...
