The Holland & Holland Range Rover Is An SUV For Gun-Toting Posh People

Regular Range Rover just not quite posh enough for you? Like swanky firearms? Then step right this way. Produced by Land Rover SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) in collaboration with upmarket gun manufacturer Holland & Holland, this supremely posh SUV project takes the long wheelbase version of the range-topping Autobiography Black Range Rover to a new level of opulence.

Does all this sound a little familiar? That’s because this isn’t the first Landie/H&H collab we’ve seen. The previous generation Range Rover was also available as a Holland & Holland edition, although that car was made by Land Rover tuners Overfinch, rather than in-house as this one will be.

The outside is set apart from regular Range Rovers with a unique shade of green paint, plus a smattering of Holland & Holland badges. It’s once you go inside, however, that you see where your extra cash is going.

It comes with the ‘Executive Class seating package’, which means enough legroom for the lankiest of individuals, and a pair of seats which recline quite a lot. Oh, and it has electrically-deployable walnut tables. Much of the interior is lined with plush tan leather, with French walnut veneer polished up to resemble the stock of one of Holland & Holland’s weapons. The door handles, meanwhile, feature exquisite engravings.

The real action is in the boot, however, where there’s a leather trimmed aluminium and carbonfibre cabinet, perfect for carrying your favourite pair of hunting rifles.

The vehicle’s available with either a 334bhp 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel, or a socking-great supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with 503bhp. It’s priced at £180,000 - about £33,000 more than a regular Autobiography Black - and just 40 will be made each year over a three year period.
