Here's A V10-Engined BMW 1M Shredding Some Serious Rubber On Track

Take the 5.0-litre V10 from an E60 M5, stuff it into a stripped-out 1M coupe, and the results are predictably dramatic...

We’ve said before that the E60 M5’s legendary V10 in a diminutive 1M coupe chassis represents the ultimate BMW engine and car combination. Thankfully, there are a brave few around the world who’ve made this BMW M Division dream a reality.

Once such V10-engined 1M can be seen above, throwing some seriously smoky shapes on track. We don’t know much about this particular example, but even if the 5.0-litre has been left largely alone, it’ll be producing at least 500bhp. In a stripped out 1M, that’s one hell of an output.

This is what i dont get, why take the V10 engine out of the E60 M5. There arent many of those cars so youve gotta save them.

I don’t get this. Is it just designed to destroy tyres? So is it designed to be a drift car? Or is it a top titty grip driving track car that rips up straights, just being driven like nuts here? Or, is it too powerful to be any use?
Basically, my Q is…why build this car? Just because??
