Germans Are Allowed To Uber Again, For Now

The popular pick-up app was originally banned in Germany, but a court has now decided it can carry on operating while awaiting a final ruling
Germans Are Allowed To Uber Again, For Now

Two weeks ago a regional court in Frankfurt, Germany, ruled that Uber must immediately cease operating, or face a fine of up to £198,000 per journey. It carried on regardless, arguing that the ban was unenforceable, and now a new ruling agrees.

It means that Germans can continue to use the app, without the fact they could be costing the company £200k on their conscience. Despite this ruling, however, the Taxi Federation’s original complaint still stands, so Uber must await a final ruling on whether it has the correct permits.
