Frankfurt Premiere for Wiesmann MF5 Roadster
Remember Wiesmann? The last time we heard from them was in March, when news about some models from the company surfaced at the Geneva Auto Show. Then Wiesmann released pictures of models M4 Roadster and MF5 GT.
Remember Wiesmann? The last time we heard from them was in March, when news about some models from the company surfaced at the Geneva Auto Show. Then Wiesmann released pictures of models M4 Roadster and MF5 GT. Now Wiesmann is making an announcement about the MF5 Roadster and it's launch slated for the Frankfurt Auto Show next month.
Wiesmann is an unique company, founded in 1988 by brothers Friedhelm and Martin Wiesmann. Each car is handcrafted and unlike any other. Only 55 models will be built, each sold for around $313k USD.
Figuring out Wiesmann's model lineup and all the different designations can be quite confusing. There is the MF3 Roadster, MF4 Roadster, MF4 GT and MF5 GT. Various models like the MF4 GT-S fit in between and the MF5 Roadster is being introduced to complete the range. Each Wiesmann is available in three different trim levels/color package sets: Sporty, Elegant and Style.
"Sporty" gets (shown in the pictures above) a deep piano-black paint/red and black interior color scheme. “Elegant” offers a blue leather interior and the amazing “Alubeam” paint found on Mercedes showcars and just recently on a production Mercedes model, the 40th Anniversary CL65 AMG. The other option, shown below on the Wiesmann MF5 GT, is called “Style”. White matt paint and a black/white interior color combination are the colors available.
No pictures of the MF5 Roadster have been released yet - but they will be soon. Wiesmann has a countdown on it's site that currently reads 24 days, 2 hours and 25 minutes.
