Does This Instagram 'Leak' Really Show A Mercedes-Maybach G-Wagen?
Leaked images and video have surfaced of what is allegedly a Mercedes-Maybach G650, well before we’re supposed to be seeing it.
We’re not entirely convinced, despite the Landaulet roof and Maybach badge on the tail. The polished wheels and other bling just don’t feel very… factory. Especially when you take into account the much classier, coherent design of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
But accounts from various online outlets who shared a Russian Instagram post and YouTube video claim that this is the real deal, with 99 set to be made as a luxury final special edition, complete with V12 BiTurbo power and a price tag of around £258,000.
The engine, if it’s the same 650-badged unit as has been seen elsewhere, will pack a 630bhp punch with 737lb ft of torque on hand to get the G’s huge mass moving.

It’s expected that there will be some kind of last hurrah for the venerable G-Wagen before it’s consigned to history. While it’s possible this is it, we’re still not sure it looks quite legit enough.
What do you reckon, Internet? Is this the real thing leaked too soon, or something modified by an owner?

I doubt merc will stop making these, as the demand from enthusiasts is high and the demand from L.A. is high…
BoostedBoris translation plz😂
What’s next, a Unimog Maybach?
“last hurrah for the venerable G-Wagen before it’s consigned to history.” But they will still continue selling the original W461 series (to militaries and hose after a robust off road/ work vehicle) after the new G Class comes out.
I once saw an MX-5 with silver letters that named ‘PETER’ must be a special edition aswell….
It’s legit, they teased it either yesterday or the day before, debut at Geneva. Autocar reported the name as G65 4x4 squared.
This car may Bach you, literally.
Actually this is very real, I follow this rich Arab on instagram and he’s the first guy to own the G65 6x6 in Oman, He posted pictures and videos of the event on his Insta story, He keeps travelling around the world for such events, So I’m very sure this is real.
Why would the G class go out of production?
