Do It Jaguar: XJC Coming?!

Jaguar is mounting a comeback, there's no doubt about that. The Jaguar XJ sedan just had it's official release in London a few days ago. And what a release it was! Jaguar's latest products the XK and XF are all very impressive but the XJ is the best yet. I really think it will put Jaguar on the map again in the upper segments that it hasn't been competing in for so long (think X-Type).

With such an excellent product, Jaguar should capitalize on it to the fullest extent. That should include more variants like.....

....a Coupe! Jaguar absolutely needs to do this. It totally works, a British luxury Grand Tourer at it's finest! I could see a potential XJC even put up against the Bentley Continental GT (which is one of my all-time favorite cars by the way) and being a great value in comparison. I know I certainly would want one!

The design looks like it was made to be a coupe - the rakish roofline so easily translates. Credit for the rendering goes to the guys at Sky Motoring (which is a great site by the way, they've got a lot of great info on the XJ). They said the design is already on the drawing board, but far from being approved for production. To me, it makes no sense not to do it. Coupe, Shooting Brake - oh, the possibilities! But one thing is clear, this has got to be built.
