Bugatti Bordeaux Not Coming To Frankfurt

Aw, man - of true, this news is a real disappointment. I've been covering Bugatti and any news about an upcoming model quite extensively over the past few months. Bordeaux, Royale, Type 12 Streamliner; 2-door 4-seat Veyron replacement, sedan - regardless of what it is or what it's called, a new model was supposed to be coming.
Furthering that was a teaser leaked from a Bugatti invitation. After release of the picture, the name "Bordeaux" surfaced and the automotive media began referring to it as such, saying the launch date was on track for Frankfurt.
TheCarConnection says that is no longer the case. Supposedly the leaked image is indeed from an invitation to see the concept vehicle at a private event in Molsheim, France. There, potential clients and dealers will get to take a look at the vehicle and Bugatti will get their feedback.
This must have been a last minute decision if true, because we've been hearing the Frankfurt Auto Show date for a while. Furthermore, Bugatti's 100 year celebration is in September - wouldn't that be a perfect time to introduce a new model?
Supposedly Bugatti is introducing it's Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance next month and that's it. I'm not ready to buy this quite yet, but we'll have to see. I guess until we get a new model, Bugatti will just have to keep introducing new special edition runs of the Veyron to extend production. One thing Bugatti CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen has ruled out is the a cheaper model than the Veyron, so look for whatever Bugatti does next to be just as outrageous.
