ASI Tunes the Lexus LX 570, Dubs It Invader

For most of its existence, the term performance Lexus has been an oxymoron. Recently, Lexus has tried to change that a bit with new models like the F series. The model below the LX, the GX 470, has been in the news - but for all the wrong reasons.

Now ASI has given the LX 570 a complete makeover, dubbed Invader, that completely changes its character. No doubt about it, this is a Lexus SUV unlike you have ever seen.

That's what we thought. Could they have made it any less aerodynamic? We don't think so. The LX 570 gets a full body kit, reducing ground clearance to zero.

The biggest changes have to do with performance. How is a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds? That is accomplished by boosting the 5.7-liter V-8 in the LX 570 to nearly 600, up from 380. Pretty amazing figures for a SUV as big as the LX.
