11 Year Old Drivers? It's All Legit With YoungDrive & Mini
Hey kids! Have you always wanted to get behind the wheel of a car but your parents and the law won't let you? It seems like a long wait until your 17th birthday and playing racing games on your console just doesn't cut it, right?
Hey kids! Have you always wanted to get behind the wheel of a car but your parents and the law won't let you? It seems like a long wait until your 17th birthday and playing racing games on your console just doesn't cut it, right? No longer will you have to wait until you're grown up, because there's a new scheme from MotorSport Vision out there, made just for you.
It's called YoungDrive and if you're 11 years old plus and are taller than 4ft 8" then you can book your first driving lesson in a MINI One. The lessons are based at three locations; Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and the Bedford Autodrome. It gives you the opportunity to take a MINI and an instructor around a specially designed fun course so that you're ready for the roads before the magic 17th birthday arrives.
John Palmer, who runs the YoungDrive programme, says "Our renowned YoungDrive programme is a fun and informative course that's designed to give a positive first experience for new drivers and its popularity has grown significantly over the past few years. I'm delighted we've joined forces with the iconic MINI brand - it really is the perfect car for young people to sample driving for the first time."
Alternatively, take a look at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey where you can take part in a Learners Academy, teaching you the basics of safe, confident driving in a controlled track environment. Sound ideal? With insurance premiums at an insane high, this is the best you're going to get younglings!
