10 Awesome Cars Added To The Car Throttle Garage In April

Our monthly round-up of the Car Throttle Garage continues with these 10 cool user-submitted rides

The NSX was branded in North American markets as a model of Honda’s luxury division, Acura. CTzen Frost owned a fine example of this V6-powered, mid-engine sports car. Frost has tweaked the engine to crank out a mouth-watering 430bhp, which pairs well with the NSX’s sublime chassis.

Above all its other motorsport achievements, Prodrive is probably best known for the trio of WRC driver’s titles it clocked with the Impreza rally cars it prepared for Subaru. So, it makes perfect sense that this special-edition 2002 Impreza WRX STI (owned by CTzen TheJDMStereotype) pays tribute to the British engineering firm. The Prodrive Style trim stands out from other STis produced in 2002 with its Prodrive-designed grille, front bumpers and rear spoiler.

Our next addition is this Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon owned by CTzen Snakobs. Although owning an Alfa Romeo comes with its share of challenges, the 159 is still a favourite among petrolheads because of its stunning design. We’d argue that the 159 Sportwagon is one of the best-looking estate cars ever made, especially in tuxedo black.

The Judge can be bought, but we don’t think CTzen Will Hughes wants to sell it. And who could blame him? The 1969 Pontiac GTO was one of the coolest muscle cars in its day, and it’s even cooler now. This particular car comes with a 400 CID ram-air V8 and a four-speed transmission, making it a bona fide muscle car by any definition. All rise for The Judge!

It goes without saying that the Chevrolet Corvette is a legendary sports car, which is why we’ve picked CTzen Snake2543’s C4 ‘Vette for our monthly round-up. This Chevy is a real throwback to the styling of the ‘80s and ‘90s, especially with those rad sawblade wheels.

Owned by CTzen Lukas Gmeiner, this S2000 is a clean example of Honda’s high-revving roadster. The 240bhp car has just 73,000 kilometres on the clock. It’s pretty hard to believe that Lukas’ AP1 is already 18 years old!

E30s are getting older, rustier, and harder to find. As such, we love it when someone takes the time and effort to bring one back from the grave. And that’s exactly what CTzen Carlos Lalinde has done with this 1988 316i. The 316i wasn’t what you’d call fast, so Carlos has cured that by swapping in an RB20DET from an Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t. This BMW might still a work in progress, but it’s already worthy of our top 10 list!

Mid-engined cars are generally pretty cool, and the Toyota MR2 is no exception. CTzen Owen Major plans to do some serious work to his MR2, including a 3S-GTE swap and an extensive cosmetic makeover.

Having the steering wheel on the wrong side can be incredibly annoying, especially if you want to go to a drive-thru. CTzen Carlos Fernandez decided to get around the problem by converting his S15 Silvia from RHD to left-hand drive. It looks like he’s done a pretty good job of it, along with the rest of this stunning build!

We end our round-up with this 1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic owned by CTzen Mroziii. Although the Caprice wasn’t a particularly sporty car, that didn’t stop Mroziii from bringing out the loud burble of the 305 CID V8 through the dual exhaust. It’s no wonder that many police departments in the 1980s used the Caprice as their main patrol car!
