Today's community question: what's the most ridiculous car name you've ever heard?

Some car names really don’t translate well! Here are a few particularly ridiculous ones to get the ball rolling:

  • Isuzu Mysterious Utility Wizard
  • Mitsubishi Mini Active Urban Sandal
  • Geely Rural Nanny

Can you do better?

It’s not quite a car but I believe that Hino produced a small truck called the “Big Thumb”

Chevy Nova. It doesn’t seem bad, but it is, for a car. It’s name that means “no go” in spanish made it a failure when it got introduced into the Mexican market.

They were probably hoping that you would look at the definition saying that a nova is a star. Not the Spanish meaning.

It makes more sense as an Opel, since Adam Opel was The founder.

In Spanish
LaFerrari is something like “The Ferrari”. “La” is “the” in female and “El” is for male

I always found that annoying. I have a Mazda 6, and I hate having to reply “Mazda Mazda 6” when I’m asked what kind of car I drive by insurance.

10 years from now. They will have the Mazda Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed 3 with the upgraded Mazdazoom package.

I always wondered why it has a such a stupid name in North America. Elsewhere in the world its just called the “MSP”.

So “3 MSP by Mazda”.
