My rear defroster isnt working, whenever I turn it on, a click comes from the fuse box (located inside the car) so im guessing i need to change a fuse. But which one? This is a picture of the fuse diagram... car is a 1997 Toyota Sprinter btw
Based on how my car works, the clicking means the fuse isn’t bad. So it might be another issue
The clicking sound should come from a relay. Those can turn bad too. The plating on the contacts burn. in that case, when the control current is applied, they click, but they can’t make contact for the switched current, for the burnt stuff is non conductive So somewhere there should be a box of relays, likely near the fuse box, and one of them should be for the defroster. Feel free to correct me if i’m wrong.
I would check the 30A in the middle of the bottom row. English isnt my first language, but i assume defroster is your rear window heater and that pulls a lot of juice so 30A could be right. And “def” maybe stands for defroster. It could ofcourse be the relay too, but the controlcircuit works. But if the fuse for the second circuit is done, you still have no power in the second circuit.

Use the manual?

I second this.
Bad relay or bad defrost switch?
