I've been wondering. Are LMP1 cars road legal?

I don’t think so because of noise, and the car would have to be crash tested, so I would assume no but I could be wrong. Anything is possible with money, and time.

I’m asking because I saw an Audi promotional video last year, in which they drove the R18 on the street. Also, the GT40, which a top tier race car, is now road legal. It was probably on closed streets, but it does beg the question.

Nope, too low, too loud, I don’t think they have blinkers, other stuff like that

I think they do have blinkers. It’s to let cars that are lapping them know which way they’ll move.

Most definitely not can you imagine what that aero would do to a pedestrian. Their has been road going versions or homolagated versions of lmp1 cars like the porsche gt1 maswrati mc12 etc but those were made road legal
