Is it legal to do any engine modifications in Germany like putting a FI kit ? Is it also legal to do engine swaps with cars from a different manufacturer?

Everything is legal if you have enough money. There’s no better place to prove that than Germany and USA.

nothing’s legal in Germany… with nearly every mod you’re loosing the right to drive on public roads - until someone certified validates your mod,…. and the most mods like engine swaps, or mods that increases engine power aren’t able to be validated. It’s very strict here in germany :(

If it’s like Ireland you need to get an Engineers report (or something like that) to declare the engine swap safe for the road

It’s legal in germany to do engine swap from the same manufacturer? ex: e46 316i to 325i.
I’am asking because i’ve seen a lot of engine swaps on bmw syndikat.de and i was wandering if that was street legal.
