I have a CORSA D 2008 and when I am driving my abs light comes on and I lose power steering its really hard to turn, when this is happening my passenger side window does not go up or down any thoughts what it could be?

Wiring harness, mabey?A person before was having the same problem (different car) and it was an alternator problem.

Sound like you need to get it in pronto mate. That could be a complicated electrical problem.

Give the battery a check. With the engine running see what the voltage is - it should be 14V or thereabouts. With the engine not running the battery should be around 12V give or take half a volt. If the voltage reads 14 when the engine is running but 11.5 or less the battery might be dead. Leave the car to idle to see if you can get the battery voltage up and if it doesn’t then the battery needs replacing. If the battery doesn’t read 14V when the engine is on then it’s most likely your alternator has failed or isn’t working properly.

Sounds like a short or bad earth, check the Corsa forums just incase itis a well known problem with an easy fix.

My old Fiesta did something similar but was just the power steering, initially I didn’t mind it as it was a nice weight whilst moving but I got fed up with maneuvers, ended up just being a loose connector.
