Delightful Citizen (Classic Truck Squad)

Good news is that those Camaros are easy and cheap to build up. Much cheaper than an M3 for sure!

Okay, Show me any reasonably priced car from Europe or Japan that could compete with any muscle car.
60’s there was none
-70 none
-71 America suffering oil crisis, Government regulations force all US manufactureres to make cars that can run on 92 octane fuel, insurance prices triple if your car has more than reasonable (250hp) Gas price quadruples, to stay in business all manufacturers start making more fuel efficient cars, but as family’s need still somewhat larger cars, and the big and heavy cars need torque. and only for that reason American V8 is still somewhat desirable engine.

Late 70’s muscle, speed and power is pretty much killed via these demands luxury sells,
Air conditioning, stereo, Cruise control, Electric windows, electric seat adjustment, all this is almost standard in every car, except the really basic ones. Those are things that pretty much only Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce, and such as highly price d optional extras. small glimpse of hope appears in form of foxbody mustang, with 5.0 V8 235hp (or so)

80’s the foxbody stays almost alone defending the “muscle” (Pony) cars, M3 is launced, and it is slightly better car… with twice the price. and you still can’t call it an affordable car as new. Supra and Skyline are starting to come up but those don’t really compete before late 80’s and Buick makes GNX which was one of the fastest accelerating cars… Granted it didn’t really handle.

90’s Mustang get’s overhauled, and still stays pretty much the only car able to compete, being just as good and cheaper than, Supra and Skyline which also a makeover, and ends up being more expensive… M3 still twice as expensive

2000 Americans start to get their stuff back together, Camaro and firebird are up again, but you can’t tell that from the price tag

2010 Finally america is back up, Camaro ZL1 just barely outperformed by M3 with 2/3ds of the price, Shelby 500, not the greatest hadling thing, but one of the fastest 0-60 (0-100) times in it’s class, Challenger Hellcat, 707hp, and similar price range as M3.

American cars outperformed almost anything in 50’s 60’s and early 70’s, put up a fair fight in mid 70’s sucked at late 70’s and 80’s, started to get a hang of it in 90’s, and now they are up again. Still cheaper than their rivals.

Um… Okay, you see maybe in Murica muscle cars are cheap, in Europe - not. In europe you can get european cars for small prices, and the cheapset muscle cars cost mulitple times more. Other think is that in europe we’ve got big prices of gas - for example in my country Poland you have to pay 1.33 american dollar for one litre(not gallon)! And people earn 350 american dollars per month (1300 złotych). And how much will 5.0 V8 drink? 15 litres/100km? So we’ve to drive cars which drive on 6-9 litres per 100km. Oh, and don’t compare Camaro to M3 please. Because on drag race they will go MAYBE head to head, but on a circuit?
