EP3 shift boot fix

During

Before

After having an aftermarket shift knob for almost 5 months I finally got around to fixing the ugly shift boot joint that resulted from the job. I happened upon a forum that I linked below and basically just did the same thing but I used a normal washer, fit it under the boot and it’s held in place by the rod expanding in diameter. I used an 7/16th inch drill bit to make the hold big enough.

Hope this helps someone out there! :D

Previous owner on my RSX tried to change the knob but resulted in breaking the tabs inside the shift boot, so when I try to clip it to the bolt on my new shift knob, it falls right off. So annoying.

On the other hand, I’ve always hated the placement of the shifter on the EP3. ITS ON THE EFFING DASH
