4. Paramore (Self-Titled)

Genre: Rock/Pop

After a break of about 4 years, Paramore decided it was time to make their return with a new album, the result was what the band referred to as the “Self-Titled Era”. The album is much softer than most of the punk rock style music the band made in earlier days, but still retains the energy that the band is known for. There are some really awesome songs on this record, and even one that pays tribute to the bands most popular songs, which makes it a great road trip album.

3. Split The Atom - Noisia

Genre: Drum and Bass

The debut album of dutch DnB powerhouse Noisia. Chances are you’ve one or two of the songs off this album, as Noisia’s works have been featured in a lot of movies/games. “Spilt the Atom” is an album filled heavy basslines, speaker-destroying drops, as well as some singing/rapping thrown in too. The album makes for a great background music on a track day, or for cruising.

2. A Thousand Suns - Linkin Park

Genre: Rock

You’ll probably know who Linkin Park are, so I believe this album will need some introducing. A Thousands Suns is arguably the band’s most controversial album, as it represents the biggest departure from Linkin Park’s famous “Rap/Metal” formula of their previous albums. The album features the least amount of screaming, and spends more time on the singing front. This album is one of my favourites from the band and for the right reason, this album demands you listen to it straight through. Great for road trips, especially at night.

  1. The Requiem
  2. The Radiance

  15. The Messenger

Waiting for the End

1. Wish Upon a Blackstar (Deluxe Edition) - Celldweller

Genre: Rock/Electronic

I’ll preface this by saying that his is my all-time favourite album ever. Wish Upon a Blackstar is the second studio album from Detroit-based electronic artist Celldweller, an artist you’ve probably heard before as almost all of his work has been featured in movies and games (His song “Pulsar” is the one of the menu songs for Asphalt 8). This album is a long audio ride filled with anthemic choruses, and emotional climaxes. Although it may seem weird, It is important to listen to the Deluxe Edition as the tracklist has been changed, along with the songs in order to provide a continuous listening experience (You also get the instrumentals for the album too).
This album has something for everyone and provides some of the best listening for whatever manner of things you are doing.

  1. The Arrival
  2. It Makes No Difference Who We Are
  3. Blackstar

One of my biggest regrets in life is my car that doesn’t have an iPod jack. Luckily it has a 6 CD changer and I have a massive collection of CDs 😀
