Pros and cons of having a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV as a dream car (Specifically here in Dominican Republic) #blogpost (First one!)

We car guys love all the cars no matter from where or how they are (There’s some exceptions and you all know who are them) but there’s always one who stands out of the crowd for us, our dream car. Having a dream car it’s something all car guys have. That one car (maybe more, i dunno) who has an special place in our heart. But some people like me like some cars that are way underrated , so today i’m going to tell you the best/worst things of having a dream car like mine.

Pro: Good prices

These days you can get a good condition Lan Evo IV for 4000-5500 pounds (5700-7000 Dollas), which comparing to Toyota Supra MK4 and Nissan Skyline GT-R from the same year, it’s way way cheaper. But gotta keep an eye on the conditions cause some of them maybe could got some abuse (STAHP PLEASE, GIVE THEM LOVE). Which makes me very happy cause means i’m not going to have that many difficulties with the money in the future. But the next con it’s going to make this happiness in some sadness but still more hapiness than sadness hehe.

Con: They're not that common

Welp, remember i said not many difficulties? i was wrong hehe. It’s all fun and laughs till you start searching for it. This awesome car it’s not only underrated, it’s a bit rare too. Yes you can find way easier his brother the Evo VI but if you’re like me who wants specifically that one, trust me it’s a bit frustrating. They’re spread everywhere, some in England, one in Philippines but in Murica’, specifically here (Dominican Republic) i’ve only seen 2 V and like 2 VIs, the VII-VIII-IX-X are more common. Not even 1 IV (I cry everytime) So that means you’re going to need to import it which means extra money cause’ of the import taxes.

Con: The majority it's right hand drive

At this point i know British people it’s laughing out loud but trust me it hurts me in the inside. Here RHD are illegals which means that reduce my options in some level, and i’ve been searching and only found one left hand drive, expensiver but not that much so hopes still alive. I really wish they were legal not only because it would be easier to found but because i really like right hand drive cars cause gives that JDM style.

Pro: It's a very interesting choice for evos enthusiast

I know what some of you are thinking “M8 you can get a VI easier and they’re the same” and yes, you’re right, but this car has some things that calls my attention a lot but i’m going to talk about that in another post ;) (Coming soon hopefully) (#shamelesspromotion). So what do i mean with interesting? For example, all the generations of the evo are liked by many people but the VII,VIII,IX are the main options for people who like JDMs, you can realize it by the posts made in Japanese for example. I’m not saying they’re bad and i’m not saying i don’t like the VII,VIII,IX, i love them. I’m saying the IV is as awesome as it’s brothers and it’s like something different so you can have an overrated underrated car that you and many many love!

Conclusion: The Lancer Evolution IV it’s an awesome and interesting car which it’s going to give me some difficulties to get but i don’t see this as a difficulty but as an adventure-experience that’s going to be fun to share with people like y’all.
