Over the next year I'll be developing my beloved BRZ. The plan is to create a fast road car that is still practical. What would you guys like to see?

Turbocharger or supercharger? Roll cage and/or rear seat delete? Let me know!

Also, make sure to follow the GT86/BRZ/FRS forum to follow the progress. New Eibach springs and custom front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars are being fitted tomorrow!

If the car is right-wheel, it wont fit i think. A supercharger will be great and will mantain the instant response of the car

Turbo and a cage, the rear seats are not that practical

I’m very tempted to fit a half-cage but I’d only fit one if I started to track the car regularly. We’ll see…

Personally, if I was looking for a practical but fast GT86, I’d make it modest. Let’s say, turbo, some minor engine work, full exhaust, wheels and tires, springs/coilovers, possibly a modest ducktail spoiler.

Supercharged kits are sweeter than turbo. + you maintain a great powerband. Cossie kit ftw.

Maybe a better powerband but i hate the drag a supercharger puts on the engine, revs pick up slowly and its annoying

For real, I would never install a turbocharger on a GT86. It just kills the throttle response, and the GT86 does not really need the few extra horses.
I would first install chassis improvements, maybe some lightweight wheels and when you are done with that, invest in some engine tuning. Not a turbocharger but classic tuning. New rods, pistons, camshafts and stuff like that. Maybe a small supercharger if that’s not enough, but I would never install a turbocharger if I were you.

I find your comment about it not needing more power legit interesting. Everything I’ve read has stated if they managed to bump it by like 50 more hp it would be perfect. But I haven’t driven one so I can’t say for sure

This is so what I was about to say! I’d also add a diff into it as well.

I’ve heard that putting a supercharger in one these is a worthwhile investment.
