Tramontana XTR: An 888hp Spanish Track Day Car

Think of the Spanish, and supercars probably won't be the first things to come to mind. You'll probably wish you were on the Spanish island of Ibiza partying your socks off and then recovering from the hangover on the beach on a toasty summer's day.

Think of the Spanish, and supercars probably won't be the first things to come to mind. You'll probably wish you were on the Spanish island of Ibiza partying your socks off and then recovering from the hangover on the beach on a toasty summer's day. Now you can put some Español flare in your dream car collection thanks to AD Tramontana.

This is the XTR (well, a drawing of one as it isn't quite finished yet); a road legal track car slightly similar to a KTM X-Bow, but instead of a turbocharged 2.0-litre four cylinder engine under the hood it has a much juicier 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V12 that promises to produce 888hp and 678lb ft of torque in a car which will probably weigh just over a tonne.

This is not their first crazy kart with a huge engine as they've been making the Tramontana such as the one above with a 720hp 12 cylinder monster from Mercedes and a tandem seating arrangement since 2007. You probably have never seen one since AD only produce 12 cars a year and their worth is north of £400,000.

The XTR is predicted to be in that price bracket - it's made from carbon fibre after all - but the firm are working on expanding manufacturing and showrooms so that more are available for very wealthy track addicts.
