    How casually these commentators talk about the death of racecar drivers really gives you some insight to what the sport was like back then. Nowadays we have steel cages protecting us from all sides.

That Guy Who Drives a Skoda

Its absolutely amazing to see this and to think that deaths at le mans and indiapolis was just a common occurance, it really shows just how far safety in motorsport really has come. Its not often you see drivers being thrown out of their cars, likewise, crashes like those in the videos would mean drivers will have a higher chance of escaping with minor or no injuries.
