Scion xB Pickup At SEMA By ADF
File this under "why didn't they think of this before", but a customizer outfit by the name of ADF took the latest Scion xB box, and chopped it into a pickup configuration. Maybe I missed if anyone had done this before, but to me it seems like a no-brainer.

Pick ups are just boxes with the upper rear quarter cut out, and here's Scion, with two generations of the xB urbo-box under its belt, and it's taken someone this long to get out the saws-all and get to work.
ADF, which stands for Advanced Design Fabricators by the way, took a formerly stock Scion xB (a car that at best I could call "practical") and gave it a hell of a chop, as well as a mild engine build and the "this is SEMA, we HAVE TO re-do the interior and do up the audio" thing as well.
As far as the less observable stuff goes, the mill received some new cams, a fresh set of valves and valve springs. Getting the bad air out is taken care of by custom headers and the heads were ported. Did we mention this was for SEMA? Oh right, we did ... if we didn't, please take time to note the dual stage fogger nitrous system.
For a while there, it seemed like having nitrous on your ride was one of the entry requirements for SEMA. Anyway, there's also a heavy-duty TRD clutch that helps deliver all that extra (unspecified amounts of) power out to a limited slip differential that's mounted up front. Yes, even though this is a pickup, and they are, traditionally, rear wheel drive, this is a Scion, so it's a front driver.
And the whole she-bang sits on 20-inch wheels and rides on Toyo Proxes tires. Not sure what kind of wheels those are, but at first I thought they were Lakester wheel covers. Alas, they are not, but they look close enough, don't they? And they also work quite well with the retro color scheme of ... what colors are those?
I'll go with Catholic High School Hallway Green and Simi Valley Flesh Tone.
