Porsche Cayenne Caught Testing

As I've laid out in my recent post on Porsche, the company's recent financial troubles have nothing to do with it's ability to sell automobiles. It is still doing extremely well in per vehicle financial metrics, and is on track to make close to $1 billion this year.

As I've laid out in my recent post on Porsche, the company's recent financial troubles have nothing to do with it's ability to sell automobiles. It is still doing extremely well in per vehicle financial metrics, and is on track to make close to $1 billion this year.

That incredible especially for a company of Porsche's size, selling around 90,000 cars.  To help continue that Porsche is launching new models like the Panamera (good luck with that! Ha, I kid) and a next generation model of the company's insanely successful Porsche Cayenne SUV.

If the renderings are anything like the real thing, the SUV will look much better than the current model.  The Carrera GT-style headlights wear very well on it. I like it a lot.

The best part of the Panamera seems to be carrying over; the car's amazing interior. The Panamera's interior really is like no Porsche interior ever before. It really takes the company to new levels so it's great to see another vehicle getting that same treatment.  I suspect we'll see that carry over to the 911 as well once that car is redesigned.

If the Cayenne seems more dynamic (and curvaceous) that because it is. The SUV is set to get smaller, weighing less and becoming more performance oriented. That seems like a good idea to me!  It looks like the Cayenne will become more of a real Porsche (if you can call an SUV that) in it's next-generation iteration. For more pictures, it's a must to check out MotorAuthority's gallery of the upcoming Cayenne.
