Mini Speedster/Coupe at Frankfurt?

The Frankfurt Auto Show is going to be huge. So many introductions in one place! In fact, Motoring File reports it will be the biggest show for BMW ever, with the most debuts planned of any show.

Some of those planned debuts is from BMW's MINI brand, with the long-awaited Speedster/Coupe and Countryman crossover both making debuts. Apparently with so much going on one day though, BMW has decided to reveal the Speedster and maybe even the Countryman crossover a few weeks early. A few weeks early like this week if the report is to be believed.

Motoring File says the reveal will be done live on the web. It probably has something to do with embargo breaks and also the fact that there will be a huge volume of introductions from everyone at the show.

We do know BMW will be making more use of the MINI going forward - why dilute the BMW brand by going downmarket? Furthermore, MINI has been incredibly successful around the world and even in the United States. A crossover, speedster and coupe have all been speculated about.
