Here's Your First Sneak Peek At The New Cupra Badge On A Car

The fledgling Cupra brand has pulled no punches when it comes to the Ibiza's initial front end style tweaks, and the switch to the new badge, and it's all a bit Marmite

It looks like we’ve got our first sight of the new Cupra badge on a car, and, well, make your own mind up.

A picture has emerged showing the new Ibiza Cupra, or rather the Cupra Ibiza, now that Cupra is a separate brand. If we’re honest, the way the over-large new badge has been used makes it look like something you’d see on a Transformers toy, but we suspect the iffy colour balance in the shoddy Instagram image doesn’t help.

If you look closer you can also see that the upper and lower grille patterns use the same shape as the main badge. It’s bold, for sure, and we bet the cooling air flow rates are great, but it might just be a bit… much.

The car gets its official media debut later this week, so we’ll be able to bring you more soon.

Olivier (CT's grammar commie)

It literally looks like a toy-ish badge. Or a “gaming PC” company logo.

It looks like a car from a movie or game with a fake brand logo on it to prevent licence costs
