42 degrees, overcast, with a chance of rain and some mud: not ideal conditions for a stance society meet, ever, really. Still, the turnout for Eurowise's meet on this frigid January day was great. Sponsors included Wrong Fitment Crew, Stance Society, ISO, Hoodstatus, and others. There was everything from slammed hoopty Hondas to a pair of nearly matching late-model NSX's to drool over. Check out some of the great stuff from the show, with a more complete gallery below.
A Subaru STI tucking tires is odd, considering the rally-bred background, but that doesn't mean it can't look good. White makes the gnarly Scooby seem almost classy; the huge scoop and wing negate most of that seriousness. Dig the hood pins.
Almost 20 years on, Supras still look menacing and purposeful - especially with good wheels and the basket handle. Green is a pretty quiet color for a JZA80.
This Toyota Corona wagon (T130, '78-'83) had a 1JZ-GTE under the hood. Thus the huge front mounted intercooler. So gangster, extra points for the Japanese wing mirrors.
When was the last time you saw a Gen 3 Mitsubishi Colt Turbo running? Or in really good shape? The paint on this one was still pretty shiny, too. Wheels don't get much more 80's than that!
This engine bay is so shaved, you might even call it Brazilian. A big-turbo 1.8T under the hood of a Jettta - nothing you don't need here.
This fixed-headlight NSX was drawing all sorts of a crowd, all day. Honda's supercar is making a comeback; will the new one even hold a candle to the original? Lots of trick stuff on this one, carbon fiber everywhere.
Same NSX? I thought so at first, but nope: a different fixed headlight NSX. Parked next to a tracked out, supercharged TL. Even better...
...is the personal plate on this NSX. Very appropriate.
A gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous FD3S RX-7. So nice.
Perhaps a bit over the top, but the widebody treatment is interesting.
Just an Integra? How about, a legit Type R (5-lug, no sunroof being the giveways) with a K20A motor stuffed in it? Clean, and for sure a fun toy - as this car has 500+ less pounds to carry around than the cars it came in!
B6 Wagons always look good with a suspension drop and the right wheels. Case in point.
Some E30 M3's are consigned to a life of slowly atrophying in a climate-controlled garage, with no miles on them. Others are more lucky, like this one. It's got no rear interior at all, Sparco race seats, four point harnesses, a trio of engine monitoring gauges below the dash, and clearly sees track time on the regular.
Sometimes you have to embrace your inner alcoholic, and install a beer keg and tap in the trunk of your GLI. And cover the trunklid in wood vinyl. And use the "Fast" as the beer tap handle. And have some steins sitting around.
This is the first modified MkVI Jetta I've seen, and it suits the car very well - never thought I'd see a good lucking MkVI, if I'm honest. The interior on this one was immaculate as well.
How murdered out can you make a car? Probably not much more than this S60R AWD. Plate: "LOLVO"
Whoa, slammed 2nd-generation Infiniti M35. Tucking rim. Blacked out. Very cool.
Some people assume "downpipe" means the blasted thing has to point down, not up and out of the hood. Clearly they're wrong - I imagine this thing shoots all kinds of fireballs right in front of your eyes at night. Racecar.
VW Kurierwagen (Type 181) doesn't really belong at a Stance Society show, but it never really belonged anywhere, so who cares? Still cool.
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8: still one of the best all-around cars for hauling ass, hauling stuff, hauling passengers, and looking mean.
An NSX sure makes an STI look like a giant boat of a car.
