Bugatti 16C Galibier Given Green Light?
It hasn't been very long since the first images of the Bugatti 16C Galibier sedan surfaced from a private Bugatti event in Molsheim, France. The rumor mill is already swirling that the car has been given the go ahead for production.

Supposedly the car is among three concepts that Bugatti has created to show customers and dealers. Based on feedback from those groups, the company will decide on which one to build.
I think it's safe to say the 16C Galibier is the heavy favorite of the three though, for a number of reasons. Firstly, the fact that they have chosen to show us pictures and give it a release is a big indication. Secondly, a rumored top speed of around 220 mph would enable Bugatti to claim the title of world's fastest sedan with the 16C Galibier.
Thirdly, because it would be able to do some sharing with the Bentley Mulsanne beneath the surface. That would help to reduce development costs for both cars.
Auto Express is reporting the car is going to be launched in 2013 at a price of 900,000 euros (or around $1.5 million USD at current exchange rates). The 2013 date leaves Bugatti with just the limited-edition extensions of the Veyron until the new model arrives.
