Who can explain the "H-shaped torsion beam affair" that makes up the new civic's rear suspension? It sounds cheap to me. Correct me if I'm wrong

I initially posted a link which was a mistake.

Most torsion beams are ‘H shaped’, the only other shape being ‘C’. They are cheaper but can be made to be as good as independent rear suspension in terms of ride and handling. The Astra VXR and RenaultSport Megane use torsion beams.
