lol, i got a question, what the difference between a blow-off valve and a waste gate, are they the same thing or what?
no they are two completely different things .
The blow off valve is on the intake side of the engine . When you lift off the throttle, the turbo keep spooling and build up pressure in the intake because the throttle is close . At this point the blow off valve open to release that pressure . This is why you get a pshhhhh went you lift off .
The waste gate is a valve that is mounted on the exhaust side of the engine . It bypasses the turbo (directly from manifold to downpipe) . basically when the turbo hit the required boost pressure this valve open and limit the amount of gaz going through the turbo so it doesn’t overboost .
No blow off valve = stutututu.
It’s even harder doing it face to face they just look at you as if you need to go to a mental home
