Top 5 feely moments from each stage of Initial D

Initial D sounds like an anime about… Uh… It sounds like a hentai, unless you consider animated car engines car hentai. Well, I’m happen to know it’s racing with a story, not mindless Wangan Midnight racing with no ploy/character development. So getting back on board, here are my top Initial Feels:

Stage 1. Itsuki arrives late to Takumi vs. Keisuke

I loved this episode because it showed that Itsuki wasn’t a cocaine-addict overzealous gearhead, just seeing him squeeze the hell out of Takumi was heartwarming and hilarious at the same time.

Stage 2. Takumi blows the 86’s engine

Oh my God, the crying was real, Takumi, the 86, me, millions of others, and the list goes on, By this point, I was extremely attached to that 4-AG, But hey, this really did benefit the character progression of both Takumi and the 86.

Stage 3. Itsuki gets rejected

Probably the other most sad moment in the series as, again, Itsuki is shown on his other side, not his cocaine-addict personality. Just seeing him get rejected was a pain in the tailpipe to watch, being his 3rd-4th rejection to this point, also making him enforce a rule of not dating upon his friends, thus earning him the nickname “Captain C**kblock”.

Stage 4. Itsuki gets rejected YET AGAIN.

This one making me feel harder than the last one, seeing the descriptions of that one chick’s relationship with that one guy, Wataru bringing him and Itsuki’s reaction to getting rejected again were painful, on top of that, Kenji and Iketani snooping literally made me combust. (Thank God the firemen arrived!)

Stage 5. Shinji’s mom describing his upbringing

OK, Ok, First, How the hell is this kid driving at 15! I know you can learn to drive when you’re younger, (I learned when I was 13.) but this kid started driving in 4th-5th grade! I learned to drive when I was in EIGHTH GRADE! Shinji learned in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
Back to the point, Just hearing about his mom having to deal with all of the income concerns, the death of his dad, having to use street racing as a job and his poor grade/high IQ combo is sad and frightening because I, as a viewer, am going through a similar stage in life. (Little income problems, but mother threatening divorce.)

And that happens to be my list.
See you on the flipside.
