I have been considering getting an automotive themed tattoo but I am still trying to figure out what I want and where. Do any of you have any ideas or tattoos of your own that could give me some inspiration?

I thought about getting the VIN number of my car tattooed because I absolutely love it.

I like the shift pattern tattoo but I heard palm tattoos don’t hold up well and hurt like you know what haha.

I like the idea of a biomechanical tattoo like a spring on my leg or arm but I hope to be an engineer and I need to make sure I can still work in a professional environment. One of my main ideas right now is a realistic heart with like a 5-speed shifter coming out next to a tachometer and gears coming out in several places. I can’t really describe it well but that done over my real heart is what I have come up with over the last few months.

Dude I’ve worked as an aircraft technician, there are more people with tattoos than not in an engineering environment like that. Even if you go into the offices there are. Just wear a long sleeve shirt to your interviews and hide it then when you get the job it’s too late for them to care anyway

That is pretty awesome but I am a supercharger guy and they just don’t tattoo as nicely haha.

I was thinking of "Simplify and add lightness" but if you don’t want to be stuck with a particular brand, I have no idea. Maybe some car components or something.
