How is an rx8 as a first car. Any advice?

they are cheap, but expensive to run, they burn through oil and gas. They also require a lot of attention. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially the older ones for beginner drivers. To put things in perspective my brother’s ep3 type r gets 150% mpg than my rx-8

Honestly, I looked into one to replace the car I have now. I love the rotary and the 50/50 weight distribution, and I even took one for a test drive and absolutely loved it. However, being that it is rotary, to have any fun really, you need to be over 4000-5000rpm, which is a killer on gas. Love the car, but wouldn’t recommend fully as a first car, unless you have a lot saved up for backup costs.

A lot of fun and it forgives you if you screw up when driving. It wont forgive you though if you dont take care of it properly .
