My dad was too knowledgeable to convince him any fast car was slow when I was 16. I was told if I bought anything more than 150hp I’d have to move out. Ended up getting an 8 year old civic 5 speed with 40k miles with standard brakes, no traction control, no stability control, no lsd. By the time the girl down the street totalled her cr-v, he was confident enough to not say a word when I ripped her engine out, rebuilt it with a b18 head, and swapped it into the civic. I’m glad he knew better though, I probably would have ended up killing myself in the firebird he fought me on buying initially.
“Mom this car has a big trunk. I can fit a lot of groceries in it.”
Just get a Volvo S60 T5 and STFU about the engine.
anyone else realize this is the same guy everyone hated on for complaining about the ford GT?
My parents don’t know jack s**t about cars so it was easy for me
Or you can have a fun, slow car
You have to collect money by yourself, buy a car by yourself (might need to register it under your parent guardian’s name if your 16). This is the only way I witnessed teens actually value their vehicle.
In parents laugh at me knowing I drive a car with no abs and traction control. Car in question is a stock 240sx coupe 1993
