1987 Mercedes Benz W124 300E

1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E Widebody. I believe it has a M103 3.0 I6 and an Automatic transmission. (Hard finding info on where it came from but I have seen a few similar that are listed as ABC Widebodys.)

This was my grandpa’s Merc he bought from a police auction in the early 90s from a drug dealer in St. Louis, MO. (My grandpa actually bought all the cars that the police impounded from the drug dealer.) He drove it around a lot, and was pulled over every time. The rims are Weld Racing I believe and my grandma said they had to order a set of wheel from California and there were thousands of dollars in the early 90s. Had huge speakers in the trunk and purple neon too! Around the mid 90s some careless driver backed into it in a parking lot and cracked the fiberglass. Every time my grandpa drive it the fiberglass would crack, so he parked it. Soon after he got sick and died in May 2000. It’s been sitting ever since. I think my grandma wants to keep it in the family, because people are always making offers and she always turns them down.
Being an 18 year old who loves cars, I imagine this redone with a new AMG V8 and a proper manual transmission…maybe I am dreaming a bit too much.
