Riverside Spring Meet Chattanooga, TN
Chattanooga, TN (USA) is a small city that is no stranger to the car community but lacks a quality import/tuner scene. Coker Tire, “the world’s largest supplier of collector car tires and wheels,” calls Chattanooga its home and puts on events that draw out thousands of muscle cars and hot rods. We are even proud to be the home of the International Towing & Recovery Museum (I’ve personally never been but i hear it’s something). The car shows/competitions in the area are usually for muscle cars, hot rods, and bikes. The meets in the area usually include kids hanging out in a parking lot hating on each others rides until the cops show up. A few specific car type clubs do exist for local chattanoogans to join, where no one will hate on your ride as long as its made by the same manufacturer (Unless its the VW club. Then the BMW club will crash the meets occasionally, yelling profanity out their windows while doing burnouts, and getting the cops called). Ok, so when i said Chattanooga “lacks a quality import/tuner scene” i was being nice. Really nice. With little exception, the import/tuner scene here sucks. But times are changing…. Welcome to the Riverside Spring Meet in Chattanooga, TN. This is the first of its kind here in Chattanooga and the turnout was amazing. Cars and car people from different cultures came from all over the Eastern United States to our little city on the river. The food was good, the beers were cold, and venders were giving out free stuff. I couldn’t have had a better day! Keep an eye out for the Riverside Spring Meet video coming soon!
