This Stupid Car Meet Crash Happened When A Morgan Pulled Out In Front Of Another Driver

Scary footage shows the moment a Morgan 4/4 driver pulled out in front of a Peugeot 206 while leaving a car meet, causing a hefty crash

See? It’s not just Mustang drivers who do stupid things outside of car meets. Even the more, err, mature owners associated with Morgans can take a leave of their senses when a mobile phone-wielding crowd turns up, as this footage proves.

The video was taken at a recent car meet or show somewhere in the UK (if you know where, do give us a heads up in the comments), showing a 4/4 pulling out right in front of an unsuspecting Peugeot 206 driver. Perhaps the 4/4 guy didn’t look properly, or perhaps he thought his wooden-framed sports car could make the gap, but the end result is the same: a hefty crash.

The YouTuber who shot the incident states in the description that the “police immediately turned up and dealt with the scene,” and that “there were no injuries luckily”. The silver lining in a spectacularly dumb crash.

The Morgan did do a stupid thing when he pulled out too quickly (hee hee) but the 206 driver was speeding and did not even brake, so both are at fault.

You dont know what the limit is so be very careful, there is a central reservation whitch means it’s a duel carrage way there for the limit could well be a 70.. i believe the video says it’s a 50 limit and the Peugeot looks like it’s doing that kind of speed. Of course everyone drove slower after there had been an accedent.. you would have to be a idiot to do 50 of mph past a crash…

The road was poorly designed or the modern car was speeding..
Intersections should have slower areas or joining lanes to prevent this very thing from happening.. Also the person driving should look where he’s going.

On the bright side, the Morgan owner can get any parts he needs brand new from the factory and the Peugeot owner can get an actual car

the 206 was a great city car in its time.

The Peugeot could have swerved and missed the morgan in that time frame, as there was enough road on the side.

But i guess stuff like this happens so quickly

He also had time to find the horn. Having driven one of those, I can tell you that the brakes were capable of slowing that Peugeot down much more quickly than what the driver did. Those things stop very well.

Swerved in a 206 with full break, most probably he end up roll over…

Yes exactly my thoughts. The Peugeot driver was either driving INSANELY fast on a road like that, or just barely touched his brakes because in that distance he could have easily slowed down IMO.

I recently did a brake test in my car just to see how I would react in such a situation and I was pleasantly surprised how incredibly fast a car stops when brakes are applied. No idea how that Peugeot managed to crash regardless…

This is what happens when Richard Hammond can’t see over the steering wheel of his Morgan…

Honking instead of trying to avoid the crush wasn’t that clever either. I don’t say he could easily avoid it, but both hands properly placed on the wheel could help.

ive always worked on the basis if i have enough time to hit the horn i have enough time to hit the brake.
