Sleeper, Defined.

I do a lot of talking about sleepers here at CarThrottle. "The Grand National is such a sleeper."  "The Legacy 2.5GT is a sleeper."  A nitrous-injected Odyssey is a sleeper.  Basically, anything that looks slow and goes really fast is a sleeper.  Bu

But very rarely do I come across a car in the real world that makes my jaw drop from the sheer sleeper awesomeness factor.  Most of the performance cars in Raleigh are either obviously so, or obviously trying to pretend to be so.  But while walking around a local import car gathering, I came across the most wicked sleeper I've seen in a long time.  Observe:

It would appear to be a 2002-2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV, with some crappy mismatched wheels, bad paint, and a horse-ton of miles on it.  Most casual observers would never notice anything was up; hell, even most car guys would just see a blue Sentra with some shitty wheels.  But racing this assuming it's "just a Sentra" would be a mistake.  Did you notice the front-mounted intercooler behind that bumper?  Yup.

Ahhhhh! Beware!  This sleeper SE-R has a Godspeed turbo kit, with a Garrett GT35r bolted to it.  The installation's dirty but solid; the car makes over 300whp on a rough tune and only about 10psi of boost.  The owner said the boost was cranked down because the stock(!) clutch was slipping at high rpm.  Well, duh.

That is one huge turbocharger.  Future plans include a 3-disc race clutch and even larger fuel injectors to keep up with all the boost.  Let's tip our hats to this badass sleeper Sentra, keeping the flame alive for the look-slow-go-fast crowd.  I tip my hat to you, sir.  Go spank some Corvettes for me!
