Hello CTzens.
Today at approximately 15:30 GMT our master database suffered a catastrophic failure and as a result all data was lost. Our database is managed by a 3rd party.
We were able to act quickly and get a new database online by 16:15 GMT. We reverted to a database backup created at 11:00 GMT today (September 21st).
Unfortunately everything that was created between 11:00 and 16:15 GMT has been lost forever. This includes user accounts, comments, posts and topics you might have followed.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience, but as always really appreciate you guys’ patience when things go wrong for us. Every experience we learn from.
Regards,
George.

Wow, can never be forgiven…. Just kidding, me love you long time.
Sucky sucky?
Lesson #1: Database clustering :)
Unfortunately the failure was replicated across the clusters
Made my first post, got my first points, fixed up my profile and its all gone… Great
It’s all good. This site is a quick one to get into :). I’ll check out your next post whenever you make it
Just post it again, drama queen. If someone offers you a free service and they have a problem delivering it to you one time, it’s not ok to complain. They have a harder time than you do
Anyone else got a bump in points by 10?
I got 4 points =D

21/09/15 never forget
It’s ok! Keep up the good work we still love you! Thanks for the 24 points bump btw xD
Is someone going to get beheaded?
Ethan…
When I tried to go onto my own public profile it went to error 404, but it works now. I was on about 16:15.
It’s a good thing it failed….in that time I made shelving which my mom has been on about for a good four years, chopped wood for the winter and made lunch. If CT was up, none of that would be accomplished.
So, what you’re saying is that for 1 hour a day, CT needs to go down? ;-)
