It Took 1 Year And Lots Of Coffee For Leo To Finish His Rocket Bunny RX-7 Transformation At Home

After one year, Leo and his buddy have finished fitting and spraying up an RX-7 Rocket Bunny kit at home. The transformation will divide opinion, but we can't help but love the fit and finish!

This Rocket Bunny RX-7 is the result of two guys (owner Leo Xu and his friend Andrew), one year of late nights, and countless cups of coffee. Despite the car’s transformation being undertaken in Leo’s garage at home in Brisbane, Australia, you’ll have to agree that the FD looks absolutely incredible; and in the words of MCM, we’d have to go as far as saying that this thing is mad.

So what does it take to fit a Rocket Bunny kit like this to a car? A simple bolt-on job it certainly is not…

As Leo says, the kit has to be painted, marked up and positioned correctly, which takes hours of cutting and welding. But after the long nights and strong coffee, the result is a striking car that’s apparently the only Rocket Bunny RX-7 in Oz, and most definitely Leo’s dream car.

As for the mods, the FD is relatively standard underneath, but it does sit on Tein coilovers. It also features an HKS V-Mount, HKS hi-flow filters and rolls on 17-inch Enkei 6666 wheels with Nitto NT0 tyres.
