Celebrity Cars 2012: The Good, The Fugly
Best Celebrity Purchases
5. The Game's Bugatti Veyron
He had to let cameras follow him around for months but I bet it was worth it. His black and yellow, Wiz Khalifa approved, Bugatti Veyron was previously owned by Iranian designer Nicolas Bijan Pakzad and is capable of going from 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds thanks to the quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 with 1001hp!
4. Ken Block's Ford Raptor
An absolute boss of a daily driver. Ken Block's SVT Raptor is a slightly more friendly commuter than his Fiesta Gymkhana star and has a 6.2-litre V8 that pumps out 411hp, which is plenty to pull itself and his boat around effortlessly.
3. Ian Poulter's Ferrari FF
No, a normal Ferrari FF just wouldn't do for golfer Ian Poulter. Instead, his is tailor-made with a unique paint job, superb Forged alloys and a tartan interior, just like the Golf and Polo GTIs, which match his wacky trousers.
2. Chris Evans' Maserati MC12
One of the most exclusive purchases of the year is by Chris Evans, yet again! Only 50 of these window shopping mobiles have been made and the Maserati MC12 is faster around the Top Gear track than its Enzo sister. Just.
1. Cee Lo Green's Auburn Speedster
Just after we slagged off replica cars, Cee Lo Green buys a replica to be proud of! It's a copy of a classic American Auburn Speedster that was built way back in the 1930s.
Celebs, if you want to look the biz, these 5 are the way to go. Don't get inspiration from the cars below...
Worst Celebrity Purchases
5. Tulisa's Audi R8 Spyder
'An Audi R8 Spyder!? What do you mean 5th worse?' Of course the R8 is awesome, wouldn't mind a V10 coupe myself, but it's what the X Factor judge has done to it that really grinds my gears. The simplest of things can ruin a great car sometimes.
4. The Game's Porsche Panamera
Again, the Pan-am isn't a bad car, far from it. Not everyone is a fan of its looks though and The Game really isn't helping the problem by getting it finished in matte gold.
3. Justin Bieber's Fisker Karma
Our favourite celeb car buyer! We like his customised Mercedes Sprinter and his new Ferrari 458, but covering the Fisker Karma in a chrome wrap and then giving it purple LEDs all round!? Tragic.
2. Mario Balotelli's Bentley Continental Supersports
The problem with Balotelli's Bentley is that its camouflage isn't doing a good job. We can still see it for a start, even over the Panamera parked next to it. Then there's the 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 monster under the bonnet, which isn't as quiet as you might think, especially in Supersports form.
1. Justin Bieber's Swag Car
Don't think we really need to explain this one but just in case you need help, it's a Smart ForTwo finished in matte black with the words Swag Car on the back. Somebody kill it before it lays eggs!
