Car Scratcher Bizarrely Leaves An Apology Note, $40 And Half A Joint

It’s all too frequent that you park your car in a bay only to come back to find a huge scratch down the side with no note, so we applaud anyone who takes responsibility and tries to make amends. This driver, though, has chosen an unusual way to apologise.

Mandi Shepard, of Denver, Colorado, left work to find her back bumper scraped, with no note seemingly in sight. It was only when she set off home, no doubt irritated to the core, that she noticed her driver’s side mirror was out of adjustment. Inside it, she found a small plastic bag containing a brief apology note, two $20 notes and half a joint, which is possibly the strangest form of apology we’ve ever seen between strangers. Credit where it’s due, though, at least he tried!
