The BMW M3 Nurburgring Puke Video Was The Big Fat Fake We Thought It Was
As we’d suspected, the Nurburgring video that was doing the rounds yesterday - which appeared to show the female driver of a BMW E92 M3 driving her male passenger to physical sickness - was a big publicity stunt. With the car belonging to Nurburgring rental company ‘Big Garage’, and the driver wearing some rather unpractical attire (high heels and a mini skirt) we were already pretty convinced it was.
This was all but confirmed today, with Bridge To Gantry publishing a series of close-up photos of the ‘incident’, plus a couple of staff shots from Big Garage’s website, which reveal the passenger to be company boss Hannes, and the driver as instructor Tatiana. Of course, it’s possible that Hannes did genuinely feel ill, but that seems unlikely.
As a piece of viral marketing, it’s worked perfectly. Hell, this is the second time we’ve talked about it in as many days. But if the pair didn’t have a genuine reason to stop, the decision to do so at the side of a live circuit for the sake of exposure is a dubious one. What do you think?
