This 3000hp Bentley Continental Is The Most Gentlemanly Dragster On The Strip
There are plenty of hugely powerful drag cars in the world, so how do you stand out from the crowd? Creating a quarter-mile weapon out of a Bentley Continental GT is a good way to start, and that’s exactly what Bedfordshire-based Webster Race Engineering did. As you’d probably expect, there isn’t a whole lot of Bentley left in it; the chassis is a tubular space frame affair with a Continental GT body over the top.
Under the bonnet is a gigantic 10.2-litre Chevrolet V8 producing a ridiculous 3082hp, which allows the Continental to crack the quarter mile in just six seconds. It took eight months to put this monster together, and if you head over to Webster’s Facebook page there are some great pictures from throughout the build.
