14 Things People Shouldn’t Be Overheard Saying At A Race Meeting
We get it, some people aren’t as into motorsport as others, but if you go to a race meeting there are quite a few things you really shouldn’t be caught or overheard saying...
1. “Can we go home yet”
No, this is a six/eight/24 hour race. There are still five/seven/23 more hours to go.
2. “They aren’t that fast”
3. “The cars are too loud”
4. “What kind of fuel economy do they get?”
5. “I’m bored”
The worst thing any motorsport fan could hear. HOW?!
6. “But it’s just driving around in circles?”
And? Your point is?
7. “Anyone can do that”
8. “This is not a sport. They just sit there”
9. “It’s just a car”
No. It’s a race car. There’s a BIG difference.
10. “This is so bad for the environment”
11. “I don’t get the point of this”
12. “OHH a crash, something exciting has finally happened”
Have you not been watching the race?
13. “So can the cars just be driven home afterwards?”
14. “V8? What does that mean?”
Let us know your suggestions for things that shouldn’t be said at a race meeting in the comments below!

Praises Skylines and GT-Rs. Calls every race series and race car sht. 9gag in a nutshell. -_-
Yup
The reason Skylines are famous is BECAUSE of their motorsport prowess…oh screw it you can’t argue with these kind of people.
15.Why have a manual when a Automatic can shift for you
But having a man named Manuel in the passenger’s seat who does nothing but moving the gear stick can shift for you too.
lel
Why cook for yourself when a microwave can do it for you
Then whats the point of playing football? kick a f-ing ball into a goal? Whats the point of baseball? hitting a round thing with a bat? that must take so much skill.
It does ok? Don’t discriminate sports, sports are meant to be exciting and be a challenge
Basketball only requires one ball…
am i the only one genually finding motorsport boring to watch
Nope. When they’re all spread out it’s kinda boring since nothing is really happening. Other that that it’s entertaining for me.
Yes, yes you are.
What are you doing here?
I’m giulty of saying the #2..
I’m sorry but I think the fuel economy is quite an interesting factor in racing, mainly because of strategic points.
To make it simple: Drive as fast a spossible, as far as possible.
This is especially interesting in races with restricted fuel usages, like F1 or formerly Group C (dunno about LMP1 now).
I love hearing number 8 from e-“sports” fans
I can understand (an relate) that gaming takes skill and practise (a good online race can actually break you into sweat), but I honestly don’t get what is exciting about watching other people playing a game, while I just could play the game by myself…
Do NOT go to a dirt track and complain about the dust.
Yeah, but don’t you dare to complain about the amount of Carbon Dioxide those cars release for every kilometer they’ve driven. That’s sacrilege.
A crash can spice things up but there is so much more to racing
