Depends on how the stages look.

If I remember right Melons (I think, I might have read it elsewhere) said that it varies depending on the type of stage. I know for a fact, though, that he keeps Irena at stock height for what he does and he’s the closest thing to a rallyist I know

You nailed it… Except, I would go adjustable (-2” lower to +4” taller) suspension if I could afford to! But most cheap aftermarket coilovers cannot withstand getting airborne much… So I stay stock because stock shocks are a big stronger from what I have read, than the aftermarket types. Unless I have $10,000 for good rally suspension, I’m staying stock for that stuff. It’s “good enough” for now.

My Alfa will have one of those super expensive suspension setups for Targa Newfoundland, so I can lower it for that, and then that same suspension for Rally of the Tall Pines, so I can raise it for that.

Low on tarmac, high on gravel and snow.

They will raise or lower the suspension depending on what the stage is like.

So if you plan on doing everything what should you use for ride height?
