I just bought a scale model of this 73' Porsche 911 Carrera RS, and noticed that there wasn't a passenger-side mirror.

I thought there was something wrong with the scale model, so I went on the internet, and then I knew that the car really hasn’t a passenger-side mirror. Does anyone know why there weren’t 2 side mirrors?

Here in Europe, a right side mirror wasn’t required for all cars till the early 80’s

Back then and still today you only need to rear view mirrors, wether it be a side view and a rear view or 2 side views.

You must have a left side mirror, and you can choose to have an inside rear view mirror or a right side mirror (or both of course, it’s a lot safer)

My ‘72 VW doesn’t have one either. Don’t really need one with how thin the pillars were in those cars
