I hate the fact that so many people want to bring back the Group B, it was pure madness. People lost their lives for money and the prestige of companies.
I think it has resurged because of the changes at Pikes Peak. They used to run cars that you might see in a “group b” type of class but now it is all paved and it’s just not the same. People want to see unlimited classes not heavy restrictions. It’s fun when the engineers get to decide who wins.
“Rally Portugal fans”
This may be the stupidest, most unlikeable post i have ever seen.
What if I told you, WRC with 2011 specs, are actually faster than Groupe B on most specials ?
cough cough why not just reinforce the cars and control the crowd more? cough cough
They want in on the madness. There will always be people who want to live on the very edge of life
safety in rallying, has come a long way. from a space frame chassis, to a monocoque that currently exists. also, crowd control has got better, so if you were to go back to group B regs, it would be more safer, but still be exciting
it Wasn’t the cars or spectators it was the organisers fault they forgot the basics principles
